At Last… Someone Has Unlocked the Secret To Consistently Playing In the ZONE

Do you…

  • “Over think” your swing out on the course and try to “control” the ball?
  • Experience your game falling apart after you’ve been hitting unusually well?
  • Battle roller-coaster emotions that rob you of focus and consistency?
  • Feel self-conscious, stressed-out or discouraged at any time on the course?

“Grab hold of your mind and your body will follow,” Tiger Woods, Golf Digest interview.

The key to playing exceptionally well — in friendly or in tournament play — is to get into the ZONE and to stay there. And the ZONE game is a mind game.

When you are in the ZONE, you’re totally confident. You are naturally prepared for whatever challenges come up, regardless of distractions. You are completely focused and able to enjoy the game.

The result is better scores and consistent shots. Problems like first tee jitters, putting yips and obsessive negative thoughts simply disappear.

But for almost all players, pro or amateur, getting into and staying in the ZONE consistently is a mystery.

ZONE playing has very little to do with your knowledge of the game or even “thinking”.

Getting in and staying in the ZONE has everything to do with your Inner Game which is at the level of mind below conscious awareness.  This is also known as the subconscious mind, unconscious mind or the body/mind.

Habitual thinking and self-perception occurs at this subconscious level.

Changing the Inner Game

“Don’t change your swing, change your mind,” Dr. Joseph Parent, author of Zen Golf

Jack Nicklaus once said: “Ask yourself how many shots you would have saved if you always developed a strategy before you hit, played within your capabilities, never lost your temper and never got down on yourself.”

When you “ask yourself” you are actually asking your conscious mind — which doesn’t do much to create change at a subconscious level. The key is getting into your subconscious mind and making changes there.

For example, what if you (always) consciously and subconsciously embodied these habitual thoughts:

  1. I trust my swing and shot-making abilities.  I expect to play great from the first hole to the 18th.  I stay focused on my target right up to swing.
  2. I easily picture exactly where I want the ball to go.  I let my body take over — it already knows how.  I swing freely and love this game.
  3. No matter what happens, I believe the best about myself on the course.
  4. I remember all my successes on the course and recall them easily.

How much would your game improve?

Enter Mindful Success Golf

We use a process that taps into both your conscious “aware” mind along with your subconscious body/mind to re-pattern sabotaging thoughts that are currently preventing you from playing at your true potential.

It’s not hypnosis, or something that somebody else does to you.  It’s not an audio program you have to be disciplined to listen to over and over.

Instead, this is a series of one-on-one coaching sessions, using a process called PSYCH-K™.  You are always in control and you get to determine what habitual thoughts and beliefs you want to express in your game (and in your life).

How it works

New clients start out with our 3-session foundational program.

During Session I, we lay the groundwork for the change process and establish your goals.  If you work with a teaching pro or instructor, we like to include their observations and feedback in this session.

Sessions II and III focus on the change process itself.   You can opt to work on-the-course for one of the sessions.

Between sessions II and III, we encourage you to play a few rounds and experience shifts in your awareness.  This is also the time to discover “what else” you’d like to change.

For pros and serious players, we offer tournament prep and ongoing coaching and support.

“Over 30 years ago I had been a fairly good golfer, playing all the major championship golf courses in England and Scotland, however after a decade of not playing, I decided to enjoy the game again.

Unfortunately, I could never get my game even close to what it used to be. I had all the shots but could never execute when I needed to. So I decided to balance [a term used in Mindful Success Golf] for an upcoming club match play tournament with hope that my performance would be respectable.

I balanced for: ‘I am confident, I am calm” and also “I only remember the positive experience of being a good golfer.’

During the tournament, I was amazingly calm and confident. But the real thing that surprised me was that even if I missed a shot, I only remembered my past success as a golfer. Although I started off behind at the beginning of each match, I held my mindset easily and by the end of the game I was the winner!

I now realize that the reason I lost my edge in golf was subconsciously reviewing my failures not my successes. Thank goodness for PSYCH-K [a process used by Mindful Success Golf] that makes this process a snap by giving the job to my subconscious! ”

Golf Program

Unlock your Full Potential

Just like snowflakes, each player has a unique combination of habits, beliefs and physiology…Winning the mental game of golf

That’s why the Mindful Success program is comprised of private one-on-one sessions that address you as the golfer, and you as a whole person.

Session One

The first session is “off the course” with Suzanne, a gifted performance coach.  Her approach is unlike any golf psychology session you’ve ever experienced.

You’ll start by identifying what’s really going on with your game and set some bench mark goals.  Is it to knock 5 points off your handicap?  Is to be a scratch golfer?  Unless you have physical limitations, the only thing that may be holding you back are hidden beliefs.

Next, we’re going to uncover sabotaging beliefs and actually TEST for them.  Incidentally, everyone has beliefs and behavioral patterns that they’re simply unaware of.  These patterns can be supportive of your goals, or not.  Either way these patterns truly “control” how you respond to situations in golf and in your life.

The best part is, once we identify these beliefs the process of retraining your body/mind begins.

You’ll learn how to respond positively to stressful situations.  For example, instead of choking on a shot, you’ll naturally become focused and relaxed. Old aspects of self-doubt will be replaced by self-trust.  What was once wishful thinking, will become easy and natural.

In many ways, the process is like editing a document in your computer.  It’s actually no more difficult than that.

Session one runs 90 to 120 minutes.

Session Two

Your homework for this session is to play at least 3-4 rounds over the week or two between the first and second sessions.  The more carefully you observe yourself, especially the thoughts or feelings with each shot, the easier it will be to uncover aditional beliefs that are acting against you.

During session two you will continue to uncover old patterns and “rewrite” them.

This session runs 60 minutes.

Session Three

Your third session can be done “on the course” if you’d like.  We book the last tee time of the day and go out for 9 holes.  The “on course” option gives you a way of cleaning up previously missed patterns on the spot.

This session runs up to 120 minutes.

“I just got my new Index from the NCGA [Northern California Golf Association — Ed.]. I am now at 12.1 [handicap]. I started at 14.4 in August. It has gone lower every month.

More important though is my change in attitude. My enjoyment is much higher, and I know that I can continue to improve. When we started this, I thought I was not going to get better, and my Index hadn’t changed much in a year.
